About Dan & JDog Gainesville
Dan grew up in Gainesville, Florida. He graduated from Gainesville High School and went to the University of Florida for his undergraduate studies. After graduation, Dan volunteered for the Army and joined the Infantry. He completed some of the Army’s most rigorous training courses, including Ranger School, Officer Candidate School, Airborne School, and Jumpmaster School. Dan also worked at Florida Phase of the U.S. Army’s Ranger School, led platoons in Korea, and had the honor of leading soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division in Iraq.
Following Dan’s service in the Army, he attended law school at the University of Florida with the goal of continuing his public service as a prosecutor. As a lawyer, Dan worked for the Florida Attorney General’s office building complex conspiracy and racketeering cases against drug trafficking organizations, theft rings, and violent gangs. In private practice, Dan received accreditation to represent veterans in claims before the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, helped with veteran-related benefits matters with the V.A., and assisted veterans with legal matters.
Dan went on to start JDog Gainesville, which he recognized as an opportunity to do two of his favorite things: help veterans and build businesses. For him, the goal of JDog in Gainesville is to employ as many veterans as possible and to also help repurpose or rehome the materials that folks want removed from their houses or businesses.
Dan currently lives in Gainesville with his wife and their two boys, along with their 120-pound hound dog. He enjoys being part of the veterans’ community, reading a good book, and doing pretty much anything in the outdoors. You’re welcome to contact him at JDog in Gainesville for help with any of your junk and removal needs, and Dan and his crew will be glad to get to work for you!
